Sculptra can help those will lost volume or skin ageing. Dr Askari will assess the face at consultation and give his expert opinion on what Sculptra can do for you. Those with inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis may not be suitable for treatment.
Sculptra treatment is similar to a filler treatment. Local anaesthetic is mixed with the product to minimise discomfort.
All makeup must be removed before a Sculptra treatment and should not be applied for the rest of the day.
Results should start to be visible after 2-3 months and are complete approximately 10 months after treatment.
The research and Dr Askari’s experience is that results should last at least 2 years. However, this does vary between individuals.
As with all injection treatments, mild redness, discomfort, bruising and swelling at the injection points is possible. If any of these occur, they are temporary, some lasting just minutes. Serious problems are highly unlikely.
